With February just days away, I’ve officially checked out of January. January was our trial month of 2018, right? So far, so good, so I guess I’ll renew my subscription for the rest of the year. Another thing I’m always renewing my subscription on is
Netflix my vintage buffalo check shirt.
Although that lumberjack or “lumber sexual” (not my words) look isn’t exactly trendy these days, it’s almost turned into a classic winter print. This wool shirt is from my favorite shop in Chicago, Unamae’s from their vintage department and its the perfect weight to layer between a jacket and another sweater. The large scale print also makes for a more graphic punch and only set me back $25.
Let the buffalo check be your standout piece, while your sweater underneath serves as a nice block of color. In my case, this turtleneck does the trick. In a city like Chicago, it’s going to be winter till at least April, so I can still get away with incorporating buffalo check into my wardrobe for a few more months.
The rest of the look includes an H&M turtleneck and cords from Club Monaco and you can see other buffalo check options from LL Bean, Gap, and Polo too, all on sale. What are some of your winter must-haves and prints?
Excited to share what I’ve been working on for February here on the blog.
